Founder of the Arab Elbow Course
Welcome to the Third Arab Elbow Course! Following the successful launch of our first edition here in Dubai and the incredible success of our second edition in Saudi Arabia, we are thrilled to bring this pioneering event back to the UAE.
For this third edition, our main focus will be on the stiff elbow, as we delve deeply into the intricacies of this challenging pathology alongside broader elbow surgery concepts. As you know, the elbow remains a crucial yet historically “missing joint” in orthopedic education across the MENA region. This course is designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of orthopedic professionals, who frequently encounter complex injuries and stiffness. Our focus remains on the latest techniques and advancements in the field, aiming to improve patient outcomes in this demanding area of trauma care.
Through a comprehensive program, participants will gain a deep practically understanding of elbow anatomy, injury patterns, stiffness management, and surgical approaches, empowering them to deliver optimal care to their patients. Our hands-on cadaver lab will also provide the vital opportunity to practice these advanced techniques in real-time. Led by esteemed experts, this course offers a unique environment to learn from the best and exchange insights with your peers.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to our exceptional international faculty for their dedication to this journey.
We are excited to welcome you all, and we look forward to your active participation in advancing the practice of elbow surgery.
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is an honor and a privilege to welcome you to the 3rd Arab Elbow Course, held from March 26 to 28, 2027, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
This comprehensive, three-day instructional course will feature the stiff elbow as its main focus, addressing what has historically been the “missing joint” in orthopedic education across the MENA region.
Held under the patronage of the European Society for Surgery of the Shoulder and the Elbow (SECEC), and with the endorsement of the International Congress for Joint Reconstruction Middle East (ICJR-ME) and the Arab Shoulder and Elbow Association (ASEA), this event features both an instructional course and a hands-on cadaver workshop. High-profile international and regional speakers will cover a wide range of topics within elbow surgery, ensuring delegates benefit from the latest research and up-to-date information regarding all fractures around the elbow.
To help us teach everything from basic to advanced concepts, we are very grateful to welcome our special guests and world-renowned pioneers in elbow surgery: Prof. Roger van Riet, Dr. Pierre Laumonerie, and Dr. Davide Blonna.
We look forward to welcoming you to Dubai for this 3rd edition of the Arab Elbow Course in March 2027!
