Miss Cecile Michau qualified as an Occupational Therapist in South Africa in 2016. She subsequently completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Hand Therapy in 2019 and a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy in 2022.
She has extensive clinical experience in the management of acute and post-acute traumatic upper limb injuries in South Africa. Since relocating to the UAE in 2022, she has dedicated her practice exclusively to upper limb rehabilitation, with a particular focus on hand therapy since late 2023.
In addition to her clinical work, Cecile has contributed to the advancement of hand therapy by participating in the development of hand therapy guidelines in both South Africa and the UAE.
She currently works as an Occupational Therapist in the Hand Therapy Department at Healthpoint Hospital, where she manages a high-volume outpatient caseload and collaborates closely with hand and upper limb surgeons to deliver comprehensive, patient-centred care.
